Lesson 5: Ventricular Tachycardia

Ventricular Tachycardia (VT or V-Tach):

A Ventricular Tachycardia occurs when the ventricles (NOT the Sinoatrial node) initiate the heartbeat at rates greater than 100 beats per minute. This is another dangerous rhythm where the heart is unable to adequately pump blood throughout the body and can result in death if not managed properly.
